Hi,
I just finished picking out my new mid-level gaming build. Here is what I got so far:

I'm planning on getting a new 27" G-sync monitor when they come out next month. Any comments/suggestions on this build?
Thanks!

You dont need a Z87 chipset unless you have a overclocking cpu.
Get something like h87 series mobo.

1. Since your 4430 is not overclockable, you could use a cheaper lga1150 motherboard.

2. Haswell does not depend on fast ram.

1600 speed will be fine. I can't argue against 16gb, but no game, by itself will use more than 2-3gb.
3. I might use the Samsung evo at a similar price for reliability.

Hmm that's a good point. Is the 770 that much more powerful? I ended up getting a 27" dell ultrasharp on craigslist for super cheap so I'm gonna be running 1440p. I'm trying to decide if I should just bite the bullet and go for a 770 over the 760. Also, is it worth going with the 4gb card over the 2gb version for like $40 less?

If you are going to play on multimonitor setup or on a resolution more than 1080p then the 4gb version is justified otherwise it is a waste.
Othherwise go for a 2gb version.
If you plann to do so in the future then buy a 4ggb version
Extra vram is always useful.
