Logitech G510 vs G510s

So I'm looking a good gaming keyboard, and my friend has the g510 which he says is his favorite keyboard so. Right now the g510 on amazon is 110$ and the g510s is 80$. He said he that the original g510 is better than the s version. And so I am just wondering how they are different and which one is better for the money. Also if there are any other keyboards that are backlit and have macro keys that are good also, please recommend them to me.

I wouldn't even bother with the G510 or the G510s. Not really worth the money, it's just a G110 with a low resolution screen on it. I recieved mine as a gift from my Grandfather, while it is extremely nice of him to go out of his way to get a nice keyboard for me, I don't think that this keyboard is worth more than $80.

g510s is better only because of coating i know, if its cheaper, even better ! i think its really worth the money! i dont have it but got an razer anansi, was thinking of upgrading it maybe + a g13!

Just thought I'd mention to anyone getting a keyboard soon. (since this thread is old)

I had the logitech g110 for 2 years until it died on me. It was good and I enjoyed it, but recently I just got my first mechanical keyboard; the k95. It's similar to the g110, which is why I got it, but it's a dream to type on! If you get a mechanical, you won't ever go back! :D

Right now it's onsale at newegg for $125, I see the g510 is $120 on amazon.

i know it looks weird but crosair products are almost not available here, you may find some vengeance ram but not more!

if i would get mechanical i would get G710+ , or if thats not good my almost hatred brand razer mechanical keyboard is also available here ! also g710+ lacks monitor and keys + its a g13 more expensive, i can get g510s with a g13 ! or g510 with 2 g13s !!!!

i currently have a razer anansi, keys are horrible. and also hard, requires almost smashing them ! my laptop keyboard was much better !

:) i got a razer anansi altought i spilled coffee over it a little ago and it lasted 1 year i still hate it, hate everything about it , i was thinking about a mechanical keyboard for smoother keys but im not sure, also i think only mechanical keyboard available here is G710+ !

i wonder if other keyboards have softer keys:?

hmm, well from what I found during my mechanical keyboard research is that logitech aren't really good mechanical keyboards, or maybe just not as good as others. If it's all you have then no choice, but you must have SOME others? Or does logitech have a monopoly there? xD

xD razer widow is also available :S , i dont think Logitech is good at mechanical keyboard too !

the biggest problem with my anansi is hard keys, Specially Shift ! i hate the way keys are . i prefer my old laptop or old logitech slim keyboard keys:) my cousin has G510s and can't even type slightly with mine :) i will ask him if hes keyboard has softer keys than mine :) but dont think he'll answer me !

ok let me tell here in case anyone wonders the same, i bought the old G510 and i love it, btw , i haven't seen the G510s from close but i think g510 is also 10x cooler (in look) + i love keys skin , i think WASD keys skin is different, anyway if you need money or price different is much i recommend you getting G510, my friend has G510s and saw g510, he tells he thinks G510s is better and worth a 10$~ more but if its more i would get the G510, its awesome anyway :p
