I recently bought an hd 7770 off ebay. I have installed it after removing the drivers for my old gpu (hd 3850) but my screen does not come on when plugged into the dvi output.
It is installed correctly, in that 6pin power cable is fitted properly and it is in the slot as well as possible. I have plugged my monitor into the onboard graphics port so I was able to download all the correct drivers etc. The card is not showing in the device manager at all.
I used driver sweeper to make sure all the old drivers had been removed first.
My system is:
Core 2 duo 2.4ghz
4gb ram
Windows 7 64bit
Mobo: Livermore8 (was stock with the pc, hp g3100.uk)
It does not seem to be anything to do with the physical install so I am hoping there is some easy fix.
I have also tried updating the onboard graphics and pcie is selected.
Any help will be much appreciated!
