How do I improve this

Alright so my parents wanted me to improve their computer but before I do that I need to know a few things that i don't know.

Can some one please tell me what type of case this is and what type of motherboard can go inside of it?

By the way i don't much about the parts inside of the computer since i couldn't find the Manuel

I think that is the M2N68-LA motherboard which is a micro ATX.
A new computer case can be picked up from a mere £15 so i wouldn't worry about keeping the same case if you want to buy an ATX board.
What's your budget and what country are you in?

It's a Micro ATX Case and it will fit motherboards that support Micro ATX Cases.

Well I'm trying to keep it under 500 and it mostly going to be used for web browsing and untied states

Intel Core i7 would be the best, fastest one for web browsing.

Mostly web browsing? Will it be playing games at all?
The ability to play games increases the price by quite a lot

The core i7 would be way over the top for web browsing and no quicker than an i3 for the task unless you have hundreds of tabs open.

No at best the only game will be spider solitaire. Mostly just web browsing since my parents aren't really into games

Here is a whole system including operating system for $438.72 and will fit in the case they have.
Obviously if you reuse the existing dvd drive or hard drive you can save some money
