So I just bought myself a nice Samsung 840 EVO 500GB SSD to upgrade from a HDD in my laptop. I am having troubles finding the specs on the motherboard used in my laptop because I wanted to make sure I am taking full advantage of the SATA III speed offered by my SSD vs. my HDD which after some research I found is SATA II.
I downloaded CPU-Z and found my motherboard is an Acer JM40_HR but I can't seem to find any information on the specs of it to see if it has the potential of SATA III? Would I be better off to assume that since the HDD is SATA II that I could assume that's probably the speed of my motherboard as well?
My laptop is a Acer Aspire 4830T-6678 TimeLine X if that is helpful at all?
