Hey guys just bought this laptop and I have 8.1 build 9600 but I don't think I have the full version. I tried to add features to windows but it says I need a product key. I also wanted to setup a network so I can transfer files but it says that service is turned off. I went to administrative tools and the services are running that need to be on any help on this............thanks........two-dogs

Well what feature where you trying to add? But as far as that goes to add features to Windows 8/8.1 you do need a key to do it. For example to add Media Center to Windows 8 Pro you need to buy the Media Center add on and enter the KEY to update to it.

So I don't have a full install and need to buy the rest of widows. I can't share files between my 2 computers because I can't hook up a home network it says the service is turned off. Is there a way to hook up a network without buying a key?
