Hi everyone, I'm in the process of building a new pc, and so far I've followed all the guides and my PC won't turn on. I'm almost certain what the issue is: The cable I believe that is connected to the power button won't fit on the board. The motherboard I have is an Asus A55 BM-E. The connector has 7 pins on the top horizontally and 4pins+2pins on the bottom. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That does not sound right. Front panel connectors are small plugs that cover one or two pins each. This is my system..

Hey thanks for the post. Turns out it did work. Now the only thing left is that My PSU has a small black 3pin connector which powers the PSU fan, but then there seems to be no slots left for the 3 pin case fan. Any ideas on what to do?
