how to set a BIOS password on my ACER laptop

Start the laptop and immediately keep pressing F1 or Delete on the keyboard to enter the BIOS Setup Utility.
In the BIOS Setup, use the arrow key on keyboard to highlight the "Security" tab.
The setting you want is under that tab.
When done, don't forget to "Save & Exit".
