Hey all, i plan to upgrade my gpu to a 780 when prices drop and i want to go sli. But im stuck on which cooler is better. Should i get the asus Direct CU or EVGA ACX. My gpu's will be right on top of each other on the motherboard and i dont plan to water cool my gpu's, so i really want the best cooling option here.

You don't want either, what you want is the reference style cooler. I would go for EVGA GTX 780 SC http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CTY84KI in this situation because EVGA has the best customer support.

The reference (blower style) cooler will push air out the back of the case which you will need when having a multiple GPU setup. Having the aftermarket (fan style) cooler is better for single card setups because it offers more airflow over the heatsink. Since you will have so much heat being created you need to push it out of the case.

If you were to go with a single card setup then I would go with the ASUS GTX 780 DCUII http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DWV3NM6 since it's the best aftermarket cooler. I've got a DCUII...
