Question about 2 different card makes

I have a gigabyte windforce gtx770.
I wanted to get another gtx770 and there is an MSI gtx770 (the red one) that is offered to me.
I know you can SLI 2 cards if they have the same clock speeds, but it seems the MSI one's clock speed charges during gaming and idle.
Will this be a factor?

all current GPUs have some sort of auto over clock during gaming. It shouldn't be an issue as nvidias drivers should sort it out and overclock both cards the same during gameplay.

should be, I've never done it but others have SLI'd gpus with different clocks. Are the base clocks of your cards the same or different? You may have to manually tweak them to be the same or it might be automatically done to match the less of the 2.

You should go with the one most similar to what you have, but if it's a wash, go with MSI. Gigabyte tends to have more problems. Just google "My graphics card caught fire."

Well I know gigabye aint that good but I still got it cheap new. Im just hoping the msi one is a bit better...and they they dont overheat both of them
