Battlefield4 gpu support directx 10.0

okay okay i don't really know much about computer my brother does but he doesn't care lmfaoo okay i want to play battlefield 4 but i get a messages saying

-----> failed creating D3D device of at least version 10.0 on adapter "NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX" with driver "30783". Error is DXGI_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED ("Unsupported") this is typically caused by not having minimum required DirectX support in the GPU <-------

Okay so i searched these things up but i haven't really got far so what i can gather up on my specs are

Processor- intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz 3.25 GHz

RAM- 4.00 GB

System type- 64-bit operating system

Windows 7 home premium

gpu-NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX

i really want to know whats causing the problem and how to fix it please and thank you

It might not. That is one of the better C2Q but it is still old.

It will work fine, but may not use all the GPU potential. GTX660 or Radeon 7870/R9-270X is probably about the best GPU that would be worthwhile in that machine and even that is on the higher end of it


BF4 requires a GPU that has support for DirectX 10.0, ideally DirectX 11+. Your GPU has support for only DirectX 9.0
