I am a newbie to building a PC and I am trying to build one by following youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls&list=FLA519LaQwY5Jt2c9WgqoWYw&feature=share). After I installed the CPU (i7 4470k), the CPU fan, video card, I tried to test run by plugging in my brand-new Corsair PSU.
When I turn on the switch o the PSU, the fan inside of the PSU does not run. I also try to short the power pins on my Gigabyte Z68X-PUD3 motherboard, nothing is running except a red light flashes very quickly on the MB. This made me wonder whether my PSU is defective, because I would expect the PSU fan will run whenn the switch is turned on.
