Hey all, just like the above says - I'm building a coin mining rig and everyone recommends a sempron processor to save money - however they assume I'm using win 7. Any problems with 8.1? It's for this motherboard:

The above board will support 3 r9 280x 's am I right?

and want to use this chip:

Thanks all!

Can you clarify who is "they assume" please?

Lol - I did NOT mean to pick that as the solution. The build guides I've been reading all suggest win 7 with their builds. By " THEY " I mean the various build suggestions I've read. Does it matter? I'm just wondering if it will be an issue - thanks.

Never mind - I've just gone ahead and ordered it. Thanks again for your help.

The only reason I can come up with for it not to work is that it may not support NX, however NX is included in pretty much all modern CPU's so it should work fine in Windows 8/8.1
