Gigabyte 990fx-ud3 (rev 4.0) temperatures?

Solution
I think you are worrying about nothing. I just ran some quick tests with my new Gigabyte 990fx-ud3 rev 4.0 board and a Phenom II X2 B59 (3.4GHZ). (I haven't ordered the FX-8350 yet). The TMPIN1 readings were:
Idle: 36C
Max: 50C (running Metro2033 benchmark)

Obviously with a 125W, more powerful processor like yours, the temps are bound to be higher.

Sorry for the misunderstanding:

Here's my specs:
Mobo: 990fx-ud3 rev 4.0
CPU: AMD FX-8320
RAM: Some Elpida ddr3 at 1330mhz
Graphic: HD 7770
CX500
3 HDD 7200rpm
1 SSD
Windows 7 ultimate

The max temp for my cpu is 62*
My cpu when running prime95 is about 60* without overclock and its voltage is at 1.4v (stock), the fan is maxed out (stock), very noisy, it idle at 30*
My NB hit 60-65* after 10 min prime95

Let me correct a statement I made earlier. I was thinking of the south bridge. After going back and reading it correctly, I see it was the north bridge you are talking about. The NB does get hotter than the SB. In fact when stressed, the heat sync is uncomfortably hot to touch.

Lol... I have no explanation for that. It may be just HWMonitor operates differently in Win8.

You might check your Win7 and Win8 Control Panel/Power Options to see if they are both the same. That may explain the difference in idle temps.
