I've been trying to fix my computer ever since i took some of the parts out for another computer. I bought some parts that i needed to have it running again but nothing worked instead i got the "no boot device" message and i can't figure out whats wrong. I bought a new hard drive for the computer and i'm missing the CD port thing and i bought new ram. Other then that everything is the same as i left it.

What do you mean CD port thing? if you bought a new hard drive and you are getting an error of no boot device your RAM is good. It seems that the problem is that you have nothing to boot from. you will need to go into your BIOS/UEFI and set your boot order I recommend 1st HDD 2nd CD/DVD 3rd USB. then save your settings and reboot. during reboot their should be a F key to push to select boot device you can select the DVD or usb. have your windows disk in the DVD rom drive and install windows. you can also install windows form a usb drive if you would like. in short you need to install windows and all of your drivers and software on the new drive.
