I have recently bought a and amd fx 6350 I would like to overclock it is watercolors so assuming temps are ok what is a good voltage to stop at when overclocking some say 1.5 some say higher some say lower what do you think would be the best
it really depends on the overclock. if you were going to do 4.0 ghz then a vcore of 1.225 would be good. if you did a 4.8 ghz OC then 1.4-1.5 would be optimal.
do a little research on other people who might have oc'd the same cpu as yours to get a starting point and go from there.
1.69 is literally the max. once you hit 1.7 the chips done.
As long as it stays cool enough and you dont hit 1.7 (for most AMD processors) it really does not matter.
Some people say 1.525 V was too high on my 965, but I dont break 65C even under Prime95 @4.11 GHz
