After Asus unveiled their ROG 1440p monitor @ CES my faith in quality 1440p monitors was once again restored along with my interest in them. That been said, I'm wondering what GPU would be ideal to be able to maintain a smooth FPS, and all the while having >=high settings.

My current setup is sc'd Gtx780 w/ an i74770k @stock, however my main concern with my current build is the fact that I dip to 45-50 fps while running settings @ high/ultra hybrid @ 1080p whilst playing BF4, of which that been said don't think would be capable of meeting my expectations if I were to transition to 1440p.

All that been said, would any carry a recommendation as to what I should do/modify to my current setup? I only plan on utilizing 1 monitor, and as suggested above mostly used for gaming. I've considered an SLI configuration however have been recommended by many to wait for nvidia to shine more light onto their 800 series. Money is of no concern, however keeping it in the domain of reality would be ideal.

..other info:
620w PSU
z87 Asus Sabertooth mobo
16gigs 1866mhz
win7, etc.

Thanks, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

For 780 sli u need a reliable 850 watt psu like corsair TX850
You should be able to do complete ultra at 1080p with a 780. I can max everything with my 280x. a 780 should be fine at 1440p for the next couple years, i don't know why you would dip that low. Try a clean driver reinstall and maybe even a BF4 reinstall as their updates commonly mess up the game.

First off, I appreciate the response. Secondly, and this is in regards to the 780sli setup, do you carry any suggestions in the PSU department?

I don't play BF4 but I've heard it is cpu dependent therefore research some air or water cooler setups and overclock that beautiful unlocked chip you have there!
