I hear intel CPU's are more beneficial but this one is cheaper and I hear it works about the same and I would rather put that money into a good GPU agree?
PS I can salvage the optical drive, the cooling and the HDD from my old setup

Thanks!

A tip: use www.pcpartpicker.com next time, much easier to put together a build, and it will export a BB code markup for you to copy and past into the comment section here. Makes it much easier for us to see your build instead of having to open 8 links just to get everything.

That build should be fine for 1080p gaming.

+1 to the pcpartpicker, but if you ever plan on getting a second GPU, i would swap to an AMD card for xfire or a different Mobo that has SLI support so you can run 2 nvidia cards.. but still looks like a good build :)

Good picks I have an fx 8320 but even if you do not over clock you will want a hyper 212 evo. The fx 8320 runs hot. I have mine at 4.5 ghz with 6 fans in my case and my temps are at about 35 Celsius. So what I am saying is that it runs hot. The 760 is decent but overpriced right now. I would look at a 270x and maybe crossfire those in the future. Also since the r9 280x came out the 7970 is cheaper and that is a great card.
