Pc not running as well as it used to

I have a AMD A8-6500 APU Processor (4 Core 3.5 GhZ) on my hp pc . When I first bought it it ran everything amazingly , but about a month later it isn't running as well as it used to. I don't think its any programs I've installed , I tried system restore and it says "A required drive partition is missing" I don't have any files I need to keep. PLEASE HELP P.S I have Windows 8

did anyone format or delete the restore partion??? if you did yu have to contact hp for a new restore cd. if not see if you can build a set of restore cd from inside of windows. also run malware bytes and hitman pro see if you go a virus.

Hitman said no threats detected and I didnt delete or restore the partition

Your PC could just be running slower as you have a lot of clutter on your HDD or even your HDD could be higher fragmented.
Run Disk Defragmenter to see if is that. Also download a program called 'CC Cleaner' It's a amazing tool that clears all junk files, registry files etc. You can also change what program you want to open when your PC boots. If you keep the the start up programs under 5 you will be see a different in performance.
