How do I know which processor a laptop has inside it?

I mean, how can I tell if my laptop has an Ivy Bridge/Sandy Bridge/Haswell processor? Also, is there a tool that I can use for doing that (in Windows, per say)?

  1. Try CPU Z
  2. or you can go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System
    processor item in the system info will have a cpu model number, google for that
  3. Go to my computer
    open system properties
    And you will your processor.
    If you want detail information try Cpuz or google it.
  4. See the specs of yor laptop,note the model no of your cpu,say- 4200u,search on wikipedia adn you'll get answer as haswell,otherwise the first digit of model no defines its architecture name
