In a combination of post-holiday tiredness and plain stupidity, I knocked the switch on my PSU, reducing the voltage from 230 to 115 while it was plugged in and turned on, though the computer itself was turned off. It made a loud bang and there was a bit of smoke. Which components do I have to replace/how can I test which components I have to replace? (I don't have a second rig to test parts in)

The PSU was the inbuilt one on my Cooler Master case which, according to the sticker on it, is a Thermal Master ATX 12V. I can provide the rest of the parts if need be.

This is my first build so I am at a complete loss as to what to do next, as I fear further damaging my computer.

UPDATE: A friend had a spare PSU. We installed it and everything works perfectly, issue resolved. Thanks for the help.

  1. [code2=html]

    [/code2]If you've got no way of testing you'll never know. Motherboard is the most commonly damaged part. Sometimes they survive, grab a new PSU that you can't break and then you'll find out what's damaged. Can you list full system spec please

I don't have the exact list anymore thanks to me deleting the order email, but I'm fairly certain this is correct;
Motherboard: ASRock H61M-VS
CPU: Intel Pentium G2020
RAM: G Skill Ripjaws 8GB DDR3
GPU: Gigabyte HD7750
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
PSU: As stated above, Thermal Master ATX 12V
Sound Card: Xonar DGX

If there's anything I've missed please let me know
