Hi!

I'm planning to upgrade my graphicscard to this model:
SAPPHIRE 11200-07-20G HD7850 2GB GDDR5

I currently have a 400W PSU with 4 pin molex.

Question:
Is the 400W enough for the card?
If I use a 4 pin molex to 6 pin adapter, will I be able to connect the card to the PSU?

Thanks in advance!

400w wouldnt be enough unless it was gold/platinum rated. but it depends what cpu you have too.

Then I guess I'll need to upgrade the PSU as well...

I don't know the model (I'm not at home right now). But it is a mid-range model I think, not too cheap, not too expensive.

Buy a corsair 500-600 bronze. They're a decent PSU and not too pricey.

Get a 500w or 550, 600W.

A decent 400 watt with adapters would be fine. I'm quite sure the 400 watt psu you have is not a quality brand.
