I need some advice. I'm already on an FX 4300 system with 8 GB of RAM and an R9 270x. I find that rendering in Maya is so slow.
I was thinking of getting an FX 8320 + a new mobo for overclocking. Will the 8 cores speed up my rendering? If so, then how big will the improvements be? Do you have any other suggestions that won't be too heavy on the wallet?
I'm currently a jobless college student so saving up enough money for an upgrade is going to take awhile...
