I understand that static pressure fans are for push/pulling air through something that is going to offer resistance to the flow where as high air flow is good all other situations. For a case such as the Obsidian 350D and other flat front cases ie no grills. The front intake I assume draws air from around the edges of the front. My question is, should a static pressure fan be mounted there as an intake or just a high air flow fan?

Tl;dr - Cases with flat fronts (Corsair Obsidian 350D), static pressure front intake or high airflow front intake?

Solution
There will be no measurable difference between the two. Honestly unless you do benchmarks within .1 of a degree of the whole system there will be difference. As long as you have air circulating through the case, it will be fine. The 'correct' fan is going to be a high air flow fan, but as I said, it will not make any difference.
