r9 280x power consumption

how r9 280x compare to other high end cards like gtx 770 and 780 in power consumption i dont want to see at the end of the month huge power bill,because i really like to game all day LOL

Usually comparing same tier cards AMD vs Nvidia, Nvidia uses less power.

The 780 uses about 250w.

Well you need power to get power :) Its the major drawback of these uber systems.

Gotta love the choices. Its either

1 (LCD or Plasma) and one Gaming Console (PS3 o XBox One) = about 400 Watts (over 550 with plasma)
Versus
2 Dual Monitor 1400p Gaming (on the R9 280x and other components) = 520-580 Watts (don't forget the initial invenstement in all this :) )
