Hello,

I have recently purchased a sapphire 280x Toxic and waiting for it to be delivered. Will my power supply be able to handle this and my other components? I know the website says the recomended psu is 750 but after looking on here some say you can probably scrape by with a 600.

My system specs are:
Corsair CX600m
intel i5 2500k @ 4.3
2 x 4gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz
asus p8z77 v lx
sapphire 280x toxic
1 ssd
1 5400rpm hdd
1 cd drive (upgrading to blu ray)
6 case fans
speakers coming from usb

I could purchase a new psu if its absolutely necessary but I was hoping to buy a new ssd with the money.

Thanks in advanced.

It's not the greatest PSU , but it will run your specs , upgrade in the future , buy the SSD.

A Radeon R9-280X - needs at least 30amps on the 12v rail and a 550W power supply.

The CX600 has 46 amps on the 12v rail so you have plenty of power.

Enjoy your new SSD.
Can't see any problems.
Off topic: You might be better served by replacing that 5400 RPM drive with a 7200 RPM one rather than going for a SSD-I assume the one you list is already installed and being used for boot/some-programs-you-frequently-use BTW.

Yeah I use my ssd for operating system only. Its quite old and only 60gb so can just fit the OS. My other drive has all my games and programs on. I think i'll get ssd and new hdd as well in a month or so then. Cheers
