8GB and 16GB RAM

Is it enough to get 8GB RAM for a gaming pc? (4GB x 2)
Or should I get the 16GB one? (8GB x 2)

With 8GB is enough, also make sure the sticks you choose have low timings like these ones

Speaking gaming only then 8GB is enough. You'd only need 16GB if your doing some sort of video editing or bragging rights really.

Either/or, most say 8GB is plenty for gaming and if strictly gaming, I pretty much agree, though if you do much else with your rig (i.e. record as you game, do any multi-tasking, etc, I suggest 16GB, especially witht hte price of DRAM these days and the fact that it will continue to rise

8GB is plenty for gaming, it's what I use. The Blue GSkill 2133 RAM to be exact. DDR4 is due out this year I believe, so you could save that extra cash for some DDR4.

8Gb will be fine for gaming, When the price of RAM goes down, then think about upgrading to 16.

And don't expect DDR3 prices to go down, the manufacturers are gearing up for DDR4, which mean they are making less DDR3, once DDR4 becomes mainstream, DDR3 prices will prob rise even higher much as the did with DDR2 when DDR3 became mainstream
