Hello all,

I want to buy a i5 4670 processor, no K, because i don't want OC it.

I have spend a whole day reading reviews of motherboards, but there is So Many! I want a Asus, Msi or GB, but really don't know what to choose.

I'm not a high end gamer, but run music programs like Cubase.

Can someone give me a good advise?

Kind regards, Mike

Since Asus mterboards are maybe the best and they have what needed , i stick to them . These are inexpensive . The A version has SLI support, 2 pci-e 3.0 slots running at 1 x16 or 2x8 .It also supports SLI .,even remote control and so on .

Thanks whitecat! That makes sense. So the only difference is between the A and K is the SLI? I don't need that i think, because i'm not a pc-gamer. Or isthere maybe another reason to choose the A above the K?

Asus Z87-K has everything needed for a rig with one video card. For me Asus Z87-K is a good choice. For example ASRock Z87 Killer has 3 pci-e 3.0 slots. But who needs them ?

Whitecat.. Thanks! & SR-71 Blackbird.. Thanks!

I've just compared so many products ( tired ;) ), but learned so much, great!!
I'm very enthusiast about the Asus Z87-K, but saw the MSI and Gigabyte too (see below).

Has anyone experience with products other than asus? If yes... what would you recommend me or would you say: "just listen to whitecat, he's right, go for the Asus :)"

*** Asus Z87-K: € 96,55 - € 104,60 ***
*** MSI Z87-G55: € 113,60 - € 123,22 ***
*** MSI Z87-G45 GAMING: € 125,85 - € 136,79 ***
*** Gigabyte Z87-D3HP: € 110,10 tot € 121,61 ***

Hope someone have time to give me an answer.

Kind Regards, Mike

Thanks for your confirmation SR-71 Blackbird!

Last question for this post:
Do you know what's a better choice? The i5 4670 or i5 4670k since I do not want to overclock.

Is overclocking the only difference or does it have to do with performance or something else too?

Kind regards, Mike
