Hey guys, first time builder here - picked out parts of a ~£550 budget (no monitor) gaming/web pc and would like them confirmed for quality/compatibility and anything else I may need to know about the build, (such as whether or not I would need extension chords etc). I plan to buy the parts tonight, for them to come in time for the weekend if everything is fine.

The build on amazon: Click me!

Also, my monitor is crap and is only a 1280x1024, but the graphics card will be such an upgrade to my x1650 256mb card, I am not to bothered about getting a monitor just now.

Thanks guys!

That build is good, though how about getting a 7790. Its not much more and offers a considerable gain in performance over the 7770, roughly around 20%. Even if it means ditching the ssd to squeeze it in, go for it

Something like this.............

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor (£80.00 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard (£63.99 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: Patriot Viper 3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£59.99 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£43.99 @ Amazon UK)

Ok going for the 7790. Its not in stock until the 24th, but I am not sure if my case will come in time for the weekend anyway, so I might as well not risk missing out on some power just to get the PC built by the weekend.

Thanks. Best solution picked!
