How do I access the SSD that came with my computer?

A couple of weeks ago i bought a new VAIO SVF15a16cx model laptop and on the box it said that it came with a 8 gb ssd. When i go into device manager it only shows my default HDD. My question is how do I access that SSD or is it just that it is inaccessible or what?

8Gb is too small for a true SSD.. are you sure you have not been provided with a hybrid drive..?
you should be able to find out from your documentation..
Post here the model number of your SSD/HDD

Actually you are correct I just checked online and its a HHD with an 8 gb ssd for cache but how does it work and will it give me a performance boost? Thank you

that 8GB SSD probably is part of HDD, and it's called SSHD (or hybrid ssd+hdd). it's used by hdd as a cache storage for fast acces. check your hdd model.
