Hi, Im building my first pc so am a bit of a newbie when it comes to compatibility. I was wondering how i would go about connecting my chasis fans :/
the fans have two cables coming from them both are molex i believe ( one has 4 pins and the other has 4 holes/sockets, do i connect these to my psu (it has a cable which fits with the 4 pin part) or do i plug it into my motherboard (unsure if it has one of those molex things as i haven't bought it yet)

Motherboard: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_LE_R20/#overview
for reference the fan connectors look like the ones on this listing(not the same fan) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120mm-12cm-Fan-Computer-PC-Case-Cooler-Casefan-Molex-/110735062581?pt=UK_Computing_Case_Fans&hash=item19c852f635

Solution
Generally, you'll want to connect case fans to your motherboard.

if the fan does not have the proper connector to hook up to a 3 or 4-pin motherboard sysfan header, then you connect them to the PSU molex connector.
You could always get new case fans that did connect to the motherboard (and thus regulate their speeds based on case temps) if you wanted as well. Sometimes stock fans aren't very good, like being loud or not actually moving alot of air around.
And the two Molex connectors on the fans are just there to give you the option of using a female or male connection.
