When I was plugging my psu into mobo I couldnt figure out how to make the separate 4 part section also plug in. It had a little tooth that came out from it not letting it slide beside the 20 pin section. I thought this was telling me not to plug it in but now im wondering if it was supposed to snap together. Should I tell my friend to try and fix it (hes not experienced with pc parts and im too far away now) or will it be fine?
Thanks

It should all plug into the 24 pin on the board.

It's a 20+4 CONNECTION.

unplug the 20 pin, connect the 4 pint to the 20 pin, then push the 24pin into the motherboard

Okay, it looked like the tooth was keeping them apart, but I guess it is some kind of connector? I looked at it a little bit and it just looked like the 20 pin was flat on that side and the 4 pin just had the one tooth.
