My WD my passport 1tb hard drive is showing unallocated in Computer Management and will not let me initialize it due to an I/O

Yea It comes on and reads in devices it just doesn't recognize it in Computer. Tried everything, new cable, other computer, etc. Just looking to get my stuff off of it so i can reformat it with the WD tool that I have. Don't know how to recover my info. Guess that's what I should have asked.

Hello ! Try to do this:
Connect hard drive.
Keep it running around 20minutes.
After restart computer without unplug hard drive.
Copy your data quickly.

I/O(input/output) usually is related to connectors. Though, you have already tried connecting the drive with a different cable to a different computer.
I would advise you to start with testing the drive with WD's Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool and see what the results will show.
Most probably, you have lost the partitions. You can try to recover them with a partition recovery software.
Keep in mind that initializing the drive may be data destructive.
