I want to know which is more better for playing game; a ps4 or high end PC?
Does high end PC displays much better graphics or Playstation 4?
I have looked for it's answer on google, bit I haven't found anything satisfactory...
It would be really appreciated if you could answer my query soon.
Thanks

The answer to this undying question is the same as always: it depends. Here are some important things to consider:

1. How much are you willing to spend? With 500 bucks, I'd go PS4 for sure. At a thousand or close (whole setup) I'd choose a PC;

2. What games do you like to play? Consoles are great for couch warriors. If GTA, FIFA/PES, Grid/Forza/GT, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy and other JRPGs are among your favorites, a console is...

A high end PC wins. A consoles price goes up with the games and memberships you have to pay in order to have some fun on it.

A pc also can do much more than a console. Trust me when you get a pc and search up some cool things you can do you'll be happy you got it.

A ps4's gfx are based around the 7870 gpu (as near as makes no difference) and will be for the next 5 years (or more), even mid range pc's are moving on from that gpu soon. Including me in the next few months or so.

all consoles do now is gate off games behind an 'exclusive' pay wall, and keep game prices inflated for sony (or microsoft, take your pick)

1. How much are you willing to spend? With 500 bucks, I'd go PS4 for sure. At a thousand or close (whole setup) I'd choose a PC;

2. What games do you like to play? Consoles are great for couch warriors. If GTA, FIFA/PES, Grid/Forza/GT, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy and other JRPGs are among your favorites, a console is a good choice. If you like games like DotA/LOL/HON, Age of Empires, X-COM, Fallout, Skyrim, and shooters in general, than a PC is a better choice. Some people actually like playing shooters on a gamepad, but if you are serious about it you will need a mouse;

3. A console is cheaper to buy, but games will cost you about 60 bucks each. PC has great deals on online distributors, you can usually get AAA titles at 10-20 USD when they go on sale. Also, a PC doesn't require any kind of subscription;

4. Consoles are a much more solid platform. They (usually) just work. PC's will require all sorts of problem-solving. If you don't want to risk wasting days trying to make something work, consoles are definitely better;

5. Do you have friends over to your house, or maybe a brother? A console is great for socializing, while PCs are definitely made for one user only (you can manage some local multiplayer, but its not made for that and it shows). If people show up at your house they won't want to just look at you playing, and you won't want to stop and do something else either;

6. How demanding are you graphics-wise? If "HD" sounds great to you, then there is no point in wasting 400 USD on a graphics card. If you require games to run at 1080p 4xMSAA at least (as I do), then never mind the consoles, they won't hold up to those standards.

So, in the end, its a lot more about personal taste than an apples to apples comparison. If all you care about is hardware, a PC can decisively outmatch any console at any point, though the cost will be many times higher.

The xbox one model that most closely compares to my pc (not very close though) costs $660. I built my PC for $850. In 8 years, when the xbox one is at the end of it's life cycle, my pc will still be playing games at better than console level graphics. I won't be spending $60 a pop for every game I buy either. Nowadays it is a big money saver to PC game. Then, when the new consoles come out, you can just spend $250 on a new graphics card and just like that, your computer will be able to play all of the new games for the next console era.

And don't worry about what Murissokah said about having to problem solve to get things like games to work on a pc. That used to be an issue with PCs, now a days, it rarely comes up. I have put over 70 games on my pc since building it and every single one of them has started up and ran just as easily as they do on consoles.
