hey,

i just replace my new motherboard, GPU and PSU.

before i had no problems with crashing games, not at all.

but recently my games crash. for example when im in Skyrim and i do a save, it crashes 30% off the time. my league of legends also crashes quite alot when loading screen is up.
i installed all the drivers from the CD. both from GPU and MOBO.

could u plz help?

here are my specs:

MOBO: ASUS z87-K
GPU: GTX 770
PSU: Corsair CX500M ( GPU needs 600W but at the pc store they said this would be fine.
CPU: i7 4770
RAM: DDR3 2x4gb KINGSTON

i would appreciate any help, cause this actually is getting quite annoying.

Well, idle temperatures doesn't mean much. We need to know how they're in game. Can you discover them?

-

If you don't know how, try programs that can log the temperatures. There are plenty that are free.

-

But unless you're in a quite hot room, 40C idling seems to be a bit on the upper side to me. Maybe you have an overheating system.

Wait, what? You have CPU at 40C and GPU at 30C in game? You must be gaming in Greenland, outdoors, of course.
Just kidding. Are you sure those are your in game temperatures? I mean, they are a bit too low.

- Monitor temperatures for all your components, especially under load.

- That PSU is really not the best and a little tight for all your components, but yeah I think it should still work. But with such high quality components (i7-4770 and GTX-770) I wonder why you picked an entry-level PSU? You should have looked at the TX or HX series from Corsair instead. I have the HX650 myself and my CPU and GPU are weaker than yours. It's never a good idea to go too cheap on a PSU. Remember your power supply feeds power to all your other components inside your case so last thing you want is it to cause some instability or worst cause damage to other components.

- Installing drivers from the CD is not a good idea. They're probably already outdated. Always get latest drivers from your manufacturer website. Since you have a Nvidia card, get your drivers from the Nvidia website. Since you have a Asus board, get drivers for it from the Asus website, etc... When I get new hardware, first thing I do is to throw that CD to the garbage and get latest drivers on the web.

These temperatures don't make any sense. Unless you use water cooling and downclocked everything lol.

But seriously these are normal idle temps. Under load, your CPU should be at least at 60C and your GPU at 70C (or something like that). You most certainly were looking at idle temps.

indeed, at some point i reached 58°C on my GPU and the max is 60°C, atleast thats what it says on GPU Tweak ( a program that came with my GPU )
i got my fan speed on 100% now and will see how its doing after 10-15 mins in game.
