i recently built a computer and I'm fairly certain that everything is plugged in correctly. The Mobo has no integrated graphics, but I have a Graphics card in there. Why isn't it displaying on my monitor?

Take a look at the following 2 guides in case you overlooked something:

Other than that, try with different output/input combination depending on what is available on your GPU and monitor (VGA, DVI, HDMI, displayport) in case this is a defective port. Make sure your monitor is set to the right input too.

You could also borrow a card from a friend just to test if it works with a different card.

I would like to note as well that it beeps and the fans spin, I'm still fairly sure that everything is plugged correctly. If i don't have a second card accessible any time in the near future is there anything else that may work

I think I found my problem, there is no beep. I tried all ports as well. I understand that no beep probably means a short. How can I test and or fix this. Do I need a new MoBo?

Careful some mobo don't come with integrated speakers and some case don't have internal speakers either. Can you verify if your motherboard or your tower has speakers? If it's the tower you need to make sure the internal speakers are connected to the motherboard otherwise you won't hear any beep.

But you didn't answer my first question, did you try a different port / cable on the card? How is your card currently hooked to your monitor?
