Id like to push my card (hd 7870 oc edition) as far as I can under stock voltages.

I know when you start incrementing up and you get to a point where it isn't stable on the gpu clock youll get artifacts and maybe crashes, but when finding the memory bandwith threshold...what kind of errors or problems will you get when it reaches its top?

Because memory self checks and corrects errors right?

Solution

Just push it up for 25mhz and game or benchmark it. Once you see it runs good, increase another 25mhz, once it reaches it's top it'll crash. after this, drop down the clock 25mhz, try again, and it should be good.

Either MSI afterburner or CCC will work for this (under AMD overdrive)

Make sure you monitor your temps!

Good luck!
