why my 1TB WD hard disk shows 31 MB!!!!!???

hi everyone, i have 1TB WD hard disk and i didn't use it for a while. now when i attach the hard to computer, it shows a 31MB Unallocated partition. what is wrong whit my hard drive? how can i fix it?

Is that all the partition you saw?

Possibilities:
1) You were using Linux. Clean hard drive, and reformat it.
2) There was a recovery partition that you formatted. I don't know what you'll do about that.
3) Data corruption? It's possible...

I know theres a small system reserve on drives. So, your full OS partition wont be 100% of the drive capacity.

i have never used any other OS but Windows OS. by the way. it happened to me that one of my hard drives were lost and after deleting partition and recreate it, hard got ok. but this time when i want to create a partition on disk, it only shows me 31MB of space, only 31MB!!!

People have reported the same problem with certain Asus boards, but I have never received verfiable feedback.

Running the utility below will help to see if the drive is damaged or not. If it does end up having issues be sure to enter the serial number on the Western Digital site to see if it is still in warranty, they are usually very good at sending you a new drive pretty quick.
