Hello,
I finally convinced my wife to let me spend some money on a new gaming computer. My goal goal seems common to this forum: to build the best machine I can for around $800 that (1) will be able to run games at quality setting (2) for as long as possible (will not need upgraded soon).
I have basic knowledge of building PCs but looking at what is available on newegg I am completely overwhelmed. I have read that Intel based machines are the go-to processors if I want performance but it seems like the general concussions here is that AMD might be better for my budget.
I took a good faith stab at a build here, but it is slightly more than I want to pay: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2EvEa
I am interested in any guidance, tips, or even literature that you can suggest for me.
Thanks in advanced!
