so last night my pc was fine and everything was working as should, but tonight, i tried turning it on and it wouldnt AT ALL, but i sorted that and got booted and i was playing a game and it cut off, overheating i suspect because amd drivers cant control the fan speed and stayed on 20% under full load without me realising...
Then i tried to turn back on and the gpu wont turn on at all, fans not spinning, nothing, but the pc will.. i dont have onboard graphics as i have FX series.. what could my problem be??

My rig: AMD 8320
R9 290
AsRock Extreme3 990fx
corsair cx750w

All cables are plugged in ill add, and i dont know whats happening PLEASE HELP ASAP!

Thanks

That sounds bad. You may have cooked it. Do you have another graphics card you can plug in and see if everything else works? If a different GPU works fine, then you fried your current one. Or if you have another pc, you can put your GPU in that and see if it has the same problem.

I strongly recommend you download MSI Afterburner: http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm

It will monitor your temps and adjust fan speed very reliably to keep your GPU cool.

You should set up a custom profile in afterburner and set the program to always start when you PC starts up. Then you don't have to remember.

My only suggestion to determine if the card is cooked is what I posted above. If the card still won't work in another PC or a different card works fine in your PC, then your card is done for.
