Hello again, I have recently pushed my 8320 to 4.2 GHZ and I am just wondering how my voltages look. I've been running at 4 ghz with no failure or problems whatsoever. I pushed it to 4.2 earlier and right away core #7 failed. Is it still considered stock voltage when everything is on auto? I then manually changed the cpu and NB voltage from AUTO to what the voltages next to them read, and core #7 failed again. Then I bumped up the cpu voltage to 1.4 (it was around 1.38) and am having zero issues as of now.
Prime 95 has been running for about 1 hour and my temperatures are A ok. I'm reading a stable 62C on the socket and 47C on my cpu. My question though is that my voltages aren't reading at 1.4. It's staying stable at 1.272 and sometimes it bumps above 1.3 but not very often if at all. Is this normal? And is this ok? This is a picture of my temps, voltages and load. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. This forum is a greatly appreciated tool for newbs who are quickly becoming addicted to overclocking lol.
Thanks in advance, John
