Hi everyone,

I've lurked the forums here for a while and have had many issues resolved due to members suggestions. Here is my question for you all:

I currently have a dual boot Mac Mini system. It is running Windows 7 Home Premium FULL RETAIL on the PC partition of the SSD.

I am currently building a gaming rig and cannot find ANY Windows 7 full retail versions anywhere online as MS has pulled retail copies for sale. All that is left is OEM and I dont want to run into any problems if a MOBO goes prematurely.

Does anyone know if it is possible to uninstall the license key on my dual boot Mac, then simply transfer it over to the new PC rig once I have the software all installed?

Thanks for any help. If anyone has any insights on OEM versions, please share.

PS: I am avoiding Windows 8 at the moment.

Solution
The retail version of windows can be installed as many times as you like, on as many different systems as you like, so long as you only ever have it on 1 machine at a time. So yes, you can do exactly what you are thinking about.
