I have an old PC and I'm trying to find a good OS that will run fast on it.
The primary use is to browse the internet, write and print documents, read e-mail. Everyday stuff.
I'm currently running on Vista 32-bit and it's extremely slow.

Specs:
ASUS A8N-VM
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ @ 2.2GHz
1.75GB 333MHz RAM
GeForce 6100 Integrated Graphics

I have a 250GB HDD so space isn't an issue.
I'm looking for something that looks good too. (Not Puppy Linux)

I don't mind Linux, but I'd like something that looks good too.

windows 7 might actually run slightly better, 32 bits version is fine... windows xp is faster but it's almost at the end of official support making it a less valid choice.

Puppy Linux is good for older systems if you don't mind Linux.
