My laptop isn't detecting my HDTV. I do know I am missing two drivers and I'm not sure if that it isn't working. Below I've provided some pictures that may or may not help you all help me. Thank you in advance!

The photo below is me trying to detect my HDTV. My HDTV is hooked up properly with a cable that doesn't have any problems.

I also found the driver and downloaded it but the screen below still showed. Here is the link to the driver I downloaded that should've worked. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+drivers&ProductProduct=Mobile+Intel%C2%AE+965+Express+Chipset+Family&ProdId=2800&LineId=1101&FamilyId=39

You can always fix these two missing drivers later, but I'm pretty sure they're not linked to your issue.

As long as you installed the latest display driver for your integrated video card.

Looking at your first image, I think the problem could be you're running your video card into "Extended Desktop". Try to swtich to "Duplicate Display" or "Display only on number 2" (which should be your TV).

Is the TV on? (Mine goes to Energy Save Mode pretty quick) Did you change to the right input on the TV? Are you hooked directly to the TV or do you go through an amp? Did you try a different HDMI port behind your TV? Did you try with a different cable?

There's also a strange detail I noticed, but it might not be linked with your problem. You should have 2 sound cards. And I just see 1 in your Device Manager. I just checked on my laptop that is currently hooked to my TV and I see two. You should see one for your sound card (like a Realtec or IDT or some other integrated soundcard manufacturer) and the other one is for the Intel HDMI driver (it's labelled "Intel Display Audio" on mine). It usually installs at the same time you install the Intel display driver. This tells me you probably didn't install the proper driver. Also, what is your laptop model? Maybe you should get your drivers from the laptop manufacturer's website.

While you check the drivers from your laptop model website, I would also check for a BIOS update just in case.

Good point. Being an Alienware it's impossible it runs only on the Intel integrated card. You most certainly have a better video card in there?
