I want to sell my pc but not sure what a fair asking price would be.

I built it less than a year ago (May of 2013)
The components:

-I5-3570k oc'd to 4.2gz
-Corsair H-50 cooler
-P8 Z77-V LX mobo
-EVGA GTX 670 4g
-8g of 1333mhz RAM. (Can't remember the brand)
-128g SSD
-1T HDD
-550w PSU, 80+ bronze certified
-Coolermaster HAF-X case with full fans and red cold cathodes
-LG dvd reader/writer

*No windows or peripherals

I want to build a new rig and just need to know how much I can get for this one without ripping anyone off.

1400 is ridiculous for this system.

With no monitors or windows, this is a 700-800 dollar computer.

The i5 can be bought used for $150, the GPU for $225, the motherboard for $80, PSU for $45, DVD drive is worthless, Case + all fans and lights for about $140, RAM for $40, and SSD for $75. These prices are best case scenario. You could build a MUCH better NEW computer for 1400.

Parting it out, you may be lucky to get 800 and selling it as a whole, you will likely get no more than 700. You could buy all these parts used and build it yourself for about 700.

This is a killer rig you got there. If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to build a new one?

I'm just asking because you will loose money of course by selling it. Usually for something used you get only 50% of the value back or even less. Maybe in your case it will be more because it's recent and if it's in good shape.

But my point is, if you are to build a new one today, it will not be much faster than what you already got.

I have a triple monitor set up and the single GPU just doesn't cut it with the newest games. I thought about getting a second 670 only to realize this mobo doesn't support SLI/Crossfire. So I'd need to get a second gpu, new mobo and new PSU to power the additions so I figured I may as well build another rig. Looking to upgrade to dual 780s and I wanted to sell this rig to pay for a portion of the new one.

That's a very good reason then. Thanks for clarifying. ;)

Since it's very recent, maybe you could start by asking 70% of the original value, but people might want to negotiate so this would be a good starting point I think if you're reading to let it go for a little less.

As tiny voices suggested, you'll probably be able to get more by selling every part separately but it's more hassle.
