Could i take off the pre-applied thermal compound from the stock cooler and put it on mine so i dont have to buy more? thanks for the quick reply in advance thanks guys. ive never used the compound before either. i just didnt want to waste it.

BTW i just bought a fx - 8350 for the purpose of streaming my game-play. if there are any streamers out there that "HAVE" or know anyone with a 8350 that streamed before and saw the fps difference or cpu load differnece please tell me about the experience please thanks guys!

What do you mean by "put it on mine?"
If you mean simply put the cooler on that is fine.
The pre applied paste is good enough, if you mean remove it and reuse, no.
If it is in a tube you can use it on any cooler you wish.

Ive never used the stock cooler and it has the pre- applied compound on there i wanted to peel it up and put it on my own After market better cooler. is that possible.

Yes Or No?

Thank's for the help!

that will be a no you can put the stock cooler on that cpu yes, but you can't remove thermal paste from one cpu and put it on another. You'll just need to buy a small tube of thermal paste for a few euros :D

Good luck! by the way the FX 8350 is a great cpu, but i don't have it so you can probably look at benchmarks for it there are a lot of them.

don't forget the pick a solution button :D :D

Thank's for the help!

You really shouldn't do this it's really hard to get the thermal compound of, and if you get it off and put it on the cpu it will be hard and it will get loads of air bubbles under the thermal paste. The paste pre applied on stock cooler is a bit different than the one you just buy.

But you really just don't do that it could be harmful for your cpu.

Good luck
