So I have a gtx 780 ti that I got for this comp already and I want to make a computer around it, (with that card I mean) I'll be using this computer for gaming (hopefully on max settings) and streaming if possible so I wanted to ask you all (since I'm not that knowledge able about the subject) if these parts I'm getting tommorrow are okay.

CPU: i7 4770 haswell (I was also considering a i5 4670k as another option)

Motherboard: Msi z87gd65 1150

16 gb ram

120 gb ssd

1tb wd

Case: cooler master 690 II SF
Power: 850w sentey 80 plus b
and just whatever else I choose for dvd burner/reader.

As said this will be put with a gtx 780 ti. And nothing else I guess, thanks a million!

More about : set parts alright input req

This build is great. Good choice of components !

- You won't need a Core i7 and 16 GB of RAM for gaming, unless you do more intensive tasks like rendering or video/pĥoto editing. A Core i5 and 8 GB of RAM will be plenty to run all games at max settings. Plus, since this Core i5 is K-version CPU, you will be able to overclock it in the future if you need it.

- Your build miss an heatsink. I higly recommend you get a better cooler than the stock one from Intel because it it cheap and don't performs really well. At around 30-40$, an Hyper 212 EVO from Coolermaster would do just fine, However, if you have more money to spend, I suggest you pick a bigger heatsink such as the Noctua NH-D14 or the Phanteks PH-TC14PE. They cools even better and are far more quiet. It will also make the overclocking process more easy.

- The case is a personal choice, but you should take a look at Corsair and Fractal Design enclosures. They are high quality and pretty affordable for the amount of features they have. The Corsair Carbide 500R and the Fractal Design Define R4 are my personal favorites.

If you have questions, feel free to ask them. Have fun building !

Sorry I don't know how to quote but thanks a million oleonius that made me feel more confident about what I'm doing. Um are you sure 8 gig of ram will be enough for both playing and streaming? Also I do really like the opinion and recommendation on the heatsink issue, I usually leave my computer on for quite a while and it overheating is a big concern and fear I have a lot of the time, any other reccomendations about how should I avoid it in this system?

Sadly, I'm not from the US I actually live in south america (sorry for the confusion) but I've lurked a lot for many things in this forum and I've seen a ton of help from the members so I wanted to try my luck, so far so good!

Also I'll have to check on the avaibilty on those things you reccomended both the noctua nh d14 heatsink (I saw it before) and the case as things here are kind of harder to get but it does make for really good reference point, so, thanks!

The component that gets hot the most is the CPU. The first thing to get is a good CPU cooler. The NH-D14 is one of the best air coolers on the market. Plus, it will also fit the color's scheme of your motherboard.

If you have proper cooling inside your case and clean it often, your PC will not overheat (but I guess airflow is not the purpose of the case you have chose, but more silence. It is why, if you worry about heat problems, I suggest you pick a case with more airflow).
