I've got a budget of about $350 (quite a bit of leeway on either side). I currently use Eagle Arions, however I now have a budget large enough to knock out a soundcard and a speaker upgrade. I not only game, but listen to music quite often.

To give you an idea of the sound I'd like, I'll compare it to headphones I've used. My friend has Beats Studios that I think sound perfect. The highs are very clear, and while the base is powerful, it isn't overwhelming (strong bass is something I prefer). I have listened to my friend's Sennheisers (~$140) and while they have great highs, they lack base IMO. A lot of the music I listen to is very melodic, so I don't want to downplay the importance of the highs.

Hopefully this has given you enough to work with, if you have any questions, please ask! Thanks!
