so I was putting my motherboard in my case and I was positioning it on my stand off screws and I grabbed the mother board by the heat sink that is pictured below and it felt loose. I removed the heatsink to inspect it and I seen nothing wrong.

Do you think maybe I should reapply thermal paste to the heat sink and re seat? or do you think I will be fine?

Never ever remove the heatsinks on a motherboard or handle it using the heatsinks :( You have voided your warranty and yes, you need to use isopropyl alcohol and a micro-fiber cloth to clean off the original thermal paste. Then use thermal pads to stick back on.

can you supply a link for some thermal pads you recommend? and there was two little push pins to remove this heat sink it was fairly easy.
