Hi all, thanks taking the time to read and hopefully help solve my issue.

My ATI Radeon HD 5770 crashed (black screen of death, my computer shut off for a split second) and now it won't give a signal to my monitor. I was playing a Steam game at the time, so maybe it overheated. I've had the same setup for about 2 years without any real issue and played SCII on maximum all the time.

Now I can't get any video out of the card (I've tried HDMI and DVI). I've put in another low-end ATI card and my computer works fine.

Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know if it's fixable?

You put in another card and it works but this one doesn't. That means, I'm sorry to say, that your HD 5770 is now dead. It's an old card so it can be expected. The card isn't fixable I'm afraid, it's just dead. If it's an XFX card, take heart. It has that double-lifetime warranty and all you have to do is pay the RMA fee and they'll send you a modern card with equivalent performance. If it's not an XFX card, I'm afraid it's time to go shopping.
